Waylon Jennings Portrait
Titled “Long Way From Home”
Museum-Quality Fine Art Prints on Canvas & Archival Paper
From an Original Hand-Painted Artwork by Marnie Miller (Texas, b. 1971)

Raw, reflective, and unmistakably outlaw, Long Way From Home is a powerful tribute to Waylon Jennings — a man who didn’t just sing about independence, he lived it. This portrait captures Waylon in a quiet, knowing moment, cigarette in hand, eyes full of stories only the road can teach.
Set against a moody backdrop of deep blacks and burnished reds, Waylon emerges with weathered confidence and lived-in wisdom. The palette is restrained but emotionally rich, allowing the focus to rest on his expression — equal parts grit, humor, and resolve. This is the Waylon who changed country music forever by refusing to be polished, packaged, or told who he was supposed to be.
This artwork began as a completely hand-painted original on canvas, created traditionally with brush, paint, and time. No digital manipulation. No AI. No shortcuts. Every fine art print is reproduced directly from the original painting using museum-grade processes to preserve the texture, depth, and soul of the piece.
Available Print Options
Museum-quality canvas prints (rolled, gallery wrapped, or professionally framed)

Care instructions

Original art is usually a mixture of mediums ranging from watercolor, oil, acrylic and textiles... Sometimes leaves and sticks. The creative process is most unpredictable. Each piece is well protected with three coats of heirloom quality clear acrylic and will not yellow or discolor over time. I cant stress the importance of protecting you original art from water damage, excess moisture, condensation or extreme heat. I don't recommend glass over any original artwork unless it is recessed in a shadow box type frame. When framing prints, be sure to use only acid free materials and galvanized or stainless metals. If you have questions about mounting, hanging or storing your art, don't hesitate to message me. I'm here to help.
